Decorative Artists of Texas (DAT) is an affiliated chapter of the national Society of Decorative Painters. It includes artists at all levels of painting who share an interest in and an appreciation for tole and decorative painting.
Our goal is to generate increased opportunities for education, fellowship and the exchange of ideas. During this process a support system both locally as well as nationally was developed to operate collectively to acquire valuable knowledge and to encourage high standards in decorative art.
Our artists range from beginners to advanced and work with a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, alkyds, fabric paint, pastels, and watercolors on a variety of surfaces.
